Select Support+ provides specialist supported living for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries (ABI), and behaviours that may challenge. We support people with a wide range of needs, including individuals who have experienced placement breakdowns, instability, or complex support histories.
Our approach is built on consistency, skilled staff, and personalised support that reflects the individuality of every person. We believe that people achieve the best outcomes when they are supported by staff who know them well, understand their communication, and provide calm, predictable routines.
Our small core team model is central to how we work. Each person is supported by a small, dedicated staff team who are carefully selected and trained around their needs. This consistency helps individuals feel safe, settled, and confident, and supports long-term stability.
Whether someone requires 24/7 support, structured routines, or a supportive home following placement breakdowns, we provide stable, compassionate support tailored to individual needs.
At Select Support+, we believe:
Everyone deserves support that reflects who they are as an individual
Consistency creates emotional safety and confidence
Behaviour is a form of communication and should be understood, not judged
Staff should feel valued, recognised, and supported
People achieve the best outcomes when they feel safe and understood
Support should empower people to live meaningful lives, not limit them
Our service is intentionally designed to remain small, focused and highly consistent. This allows us to maintain strong oversight, meaningful relationships, and a high standard of support.
Small core teams built around each individual
No agency staff — we do not use agency workers
Skilled, consistent teams selected to match individual needs
Positive Behaviour Support embedded into daily practice
Bespoke staff training packages for each individual and their team
Hands-on, visible leadership across all services
A strong focus on long-term stability and predictable routines
We never use agency staff. Any gaps due to annual leave or sickness are covered by familiar staff and our management team to ensure continuity, which is essential for individuals who have experienced instability or previous placement breakdowns.
We work directly with private landlords who understand the needs of the people we support. These landlords provide long-term tenancies so individuals can make their home their own, feel settled, and build a sense of security.
A stable home environment is fundamental to wellbeing, confidence and long-term success, and we prioritise this for everyone we support.
Positive outcomes look different for everyone. We support individuals to make progress at their own pace, focusing on what matters to them. This may include:
Increased independence in daily living skills
Improved communication and self-expression
Reduced distress and incidents
More consistent emotional regulation
Greater confidence in the community
Stronger relationships with staff, family, and professionals
A more stable and predictable daily life
We believe community involvement is part of a fulfilling life. For many of the people we support, building confidence to try new things takes time, consistency, and the right encouragement. Our small core teams support individuals to explore opportunities at their own pace, ensuring community experiences feel safe, meaningful, and achievable.
This may include:
Local walks and nature outings
Leisure activities
Social groups and clubs
Volunteering opportunities
Education and skills-building
Shopping and everyday routines
Library visits and community spaces
Travel training
Cafés and places of interest
Day trips or supported holidays (where appropriate)
Our aim is meaningful participation, not pressure.
At Select Support+, we do supported living differently. We prioritise stability, consistency, and meaningful relationships. Many people who come to us have experienced instability, broken trust, or placement breakdowns. Our model is designed to help people settle, feel safe, and thrive.
